Miller Thomson LLP’s Private Client Services Specialty Group continues to enjoy a growing and thriving practice and we are seeking an energetic, team-oriented and entrepreneurial associate to join our team.

Our Private Client Services Specialty Group is the largest in Canada and we intend to continue our growth in this important area.  We provide a complete range of estates, trusts and personal tax services for clients with domestic, cross-border and off-shore requirements.  Our lawyers have extensive experience in all aspects of estate planning from the conception and implementation of the estate plan to the eventual administration of the estate.  Our Private Client Services Specialty Group works in close association with our Charities and NPO Specialty Group, our Tax Group, our Health Law Specialty Group and our Litigation Group to provide access to a variety of challenging legal issues.  The ideal candidate will have an opportunity to work with experienced leading lawyers in the field, to contribute to firm publications and to participate in delivering presentations at both internal and external events.

The ideal candidate for this position will have 2 to 6 years of estate planning and personal tax experience including will and trust planning and drafting; planning for incapacity; business succession planning; estate administration; and trust and estate dispute resolution. Excellent technical, problem solving, and drafting skills, in addition to proven client management experience are also required.
