Opportunity for Securities Lawyer

Blaney McMurtry LLP (“Blaneys”) is seeking a corporate commercial lawyer with 5+ years of broad experience in securities law to join our corporate commercial group of 30 plus lawyers. The successful candidate will work on building their own practice while assisting with a range of private and public transactions including equity and debt financings (including prospectus offerings and private placements), mergers and acquisitions, stock exchange listings, corporate reorganizations, regulatory matters (including compliance and disclosure) and general securities law issues.

The candidate will have a strong research and drafting skills, be a team player willing to jump into the role that is needed in the circumstances, excellent academic credentials, be self-motivated and have the demonstrated ability to assume carriage of complex files and issues.

The candidate will be licensed to practice law in Ontario and will join Blaneys with a partial practice of corporate clients and mandates.
