Manager, Student Recruitment and Professional Development

As a member of Bennett Jones’ CLE and recruitment team and reporting to the National Director, Student and Associate Programs, the successful candidate will, together with a supportive administrative team, be responsible for student recruitment and play an integral role in associate development. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in national initiatives and gain exposure in a multi-office environment.

Duties include:

Management of student recruitment process including attendance at career fairs.

Co-ordination of on-boarding and orientation for students and associates.

Responsibility for day-to-day management of students.

Assistance with performance management and reviews for students and associates.

Planning Bennett Jones University sessions.

Tracking lawyer CPD credits and liaising with the LSUC.

Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate is called to the bar and has practised in a large firm environment for a minimum of 2 or 3 years. We are seeking a candidate who takes initiative and has excellent organizational skills, excels at multi-tasking and desires to work in a team oriented environment. Demonstrated management skills would be an asset. The successful candidate possesses superior communication skills and the ability to communicate and interact with both legal professionals and staff in a way that fosters collaboration.
