Litigator with Health Law Experience

Blaney McMurtry LLP has an immediate opening for an associate with 2 – 3 years of experience to join our busy Health Law and Insurance Litigation Practice Groups.

The successful candidate will assist with larger litigation matters requiring assessments, drafting and litigation/dispute resolution support, while also confidently handling their own case load. Litigation files will include defending medical malpractice claims against various health practitioners, as well as first party accident and health and disability claims. The successful candidate will also handle various disciplinary/College complaint files, including professional certification applications, appeals and judicial reviews.

Strong academic credentials, exceptional research, drafting, writing and analytical skills, negotiation and advocacy skills, and proven client service and practice management skills are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with a background or interest in health law and a science degree.
