With assets exceeding $117 billion, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is one of North America’s largest institutional investors, which both invests the pension fund’s assets and administers the pensions of 300,000 active and retired teachers in Ontario.

The Plan’s top calibre Legal Department is seeking to add an exceptional lawyer to their team in Toronto. This newly created position provides an excellent opportunity to work on leading edge investment matters with some of Canada’s top financial and legal professionals.

Reporting to the Vice-President and Associate General Counsel, Investments, the successful candidate will provide advice on a wide range of investment transactions. You will work closely with the Plan’s investment professionals and be required to think creatively through sophisticated and innovative investment transactions involving both public and private markets.

The ideal candidate will have 5 – 8 years of experience in M&A and/or corporate finance from a top-tier firm or a major financial institution. Our client is seeking a highly motivated team player with a client-oriented approach to practice as well as an ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
