Our client is seeking a corporate/commercial lawyer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the technology sector to join its team located out of its headquarters in Markham. The successful candidate will support the General Counsel and management by providing legal advice and guidance on matters affecting the policy, operations and project development of affiliates and subsidiaries of the company.
Your responsibilities will include the negotiation, drafting, review and execution of a variety of contracts relating to consulting/technical services, construction, procurement, engineering, business development, leasing, real estate, operations, intellectual property and dispute resolution. You will also co-ordinate the use of outside counsel on various matters, assist with human resources matters and keep management informed on pending changes in legislation and regulations affecting its affairs and operations.
The ideal candidate will have a versatile corporate/commercial background gained from a law firm or corporation and exceptional communication skills.
