In-House – Director Claims Legal Counsel – Insurance Defence (7+ yrs) INCP-183

Director, Claims, Legal Counsel, Ontario, Atlantic and Western Canada.

1) You’ll be in charge of 16 direct reports incl 8 lawyers, and growing.

2) You’ll be sitting at the table with a small senior management team, playing an advisory, planning, and decision-making role incl helping to balance professional resourcing with claims control and settlement costs. You’ll be responsible for budgets and evaluation; and for outside counsel.

3) Your contribution will be on a specialized basis, more advisory than directly file responsible.

TERM: Permanent.

1) 7 years of experience in insurance law, preferably in property and casualty; and accident benefits, an asset, and

2) 3 years managing specialized professionals
