Frontera Energy Corporation Associate-Counsel (2-4 Years post-Call)          

Frontera Energy Corporation (Canadian public company), a leading explorer and producer of crude oil/natural gas in Peru and Columbia, is seeking an associate counsel with two to four years of corporate/commercial and/or securities law experience gained from a leading law firm or in-house environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Working on a broad range of legal matters, including: finance/banking, contracts, corporate, M&A, securities, corporate governance, employment, litigation, corporate policies/procedures and compliance;
• Assisting with public company reporting requirements and meetings (including proxy circulars, annual information form, annual shareholder meetings and insider trading reporting requirements);
• Working with Investor Relations (reviewing corporate presentations and press releases);
• Supporting General Counsel on matters relating to the Board of Directors and Board Committees;
• Managing external counsel in various jurisdictions; assisting with management of overall legal budget and finding efficiencies.
