Dragados Canada, Inc. (Dragados) is a leading infrastructure construction company with more than seventy years of experience in the industry. The company is a subsidiary of Dragados S.A., a leading general contractor in Spain and is part of ACS Group, a global leader in construction focusing on the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Dragados is currently seeking an infrastructure/construction lawyer to join its growing and dynamic team at their Canadian headquarters located in downtown Toronto.

Reporting to the President of Dragados, the successful candidate will advise on a range of matters arising from design-build, design-build-finance, construction, P3 and concession projects involving both public and private clients. Responsibilities will include:

• negotiation, drafting and review of a variety of construction related contracts including those relating to the bidding, tendering and RFP process;
• advising on pre-construction risk management, financial structuring, project management, insurance issues and sponsor structuring relating to alliances, public-private partnerships, consortia and joint ventures;
• performing a risk management role with respect to any projects or activities entered into by the company and;
• advising on issues arising from anticipated or actual lawsuits, as well as managing litigation.

The ideal candidate will have 5 + years of construction experience, preferably in the context of infrastructure/P3 projects, gained from a leading law firm or a major construction company. An ability to communicate in either French or Spanish would also be considered an asset but is not necessary.
