Employment Lawyer (1 to 3 years)

 

Our client, a modern downtown employment law firm, seeks an Employment Lawyer with 1 to 3 years’ experience in employment, human rights, and/or civil litigation for their growing practice.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-regarded employment law firm that combines its legal expertise and diverse client-base with a sense of entrepreneurialism and respect for work-life balance to provide a uniquely collegial and rewarding work environment.

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Consultations with new clients;
  • Carriage of both employee and management-side files;
  • Policy and contract drafting;
  • Examinations for discovery, motions, mediations, pre-trials and trial advocacy;
  • Conducting research into a variety of workplace law topics; and
  • Supporting the firm with its business development initiatives.

Stand-out candidates will have strong foundational experience obtained from a large firm or boutique, excellent academic credentials, and superior attention to detail. Bonus points if, like our client, you don’t take yourself too seriously. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
