Loopstra Nixon LLP welcomes Ryan Smith as an Associate.

Ryan is an associate in the firm’s Commercial and Construction Litigation Group.

Ryan maintains a broad commercial, construction and real property litigation practice. Ryan regularly advocates for clients at various levels of the Ontario court system and administrative tribunals. Ryan was called to the Ontario Bar in 2020, the New York State Bar in 2021 and holds a Canadian JD from the University of Windsor and an American JD from the University of Detroit Mercy, from which he graduated with cum laude honours.

Ryan is a resourceful advocate who uses keen attention to detail and strong communication skills to effectively represent clients, both in court and through other methods of alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Loopstra Nixon LLP, Ryan practiced at a full-service firm and a litigation boutique in Toronto.

Outside of the office, Ryan enjoys playing basketball, skiing and cooking. Ryan is originally from Montreal, Quebec and also speaks French.
