Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP is pleased to welcome Juliene Cawthorne-Hwang to the Restructuring & Insolvency Group.

Juliene completed her J.D. at the University of Windsor, where she received the Essex Law Society Centennial Scholarship for first-place standing in her first year of the J.D. program, the Harold G. Fox Bursary and the Samia Rose Shaheen Memorial Award in Legal Writing. Juliene represented Windsor Law at the 2014 Gale Cup Moot and the 2015 Warren K. Winkler Class Actions Moot, where she and her partner won the championship. Juliene earned a B.Sc. in physics from McGill University and received the McGill Young Alumni Award for her contribution to student life.

In Windsor, Juliene was a teaching assistant in contract law and a research assistant in legal remedies, and organized fundraisers for Hiatus House and Rainbow Railroad. Before law school, she worked in the industry offices at the Toronto International Film Festival and HotDocs Documentary Festival.
