Julien Verneau joins Smart & Biggar

Julien Verneau’s practice focusses on all aspects and areas of intellectual property with a particular emphasis on patent and trademark prosecution, licensing and intellectual property management and intellectual property litigation in the fields of patents, trademarks and copyright.

Julien’s technical expertise includes confocal and fluorescent microscopy, finite-element modeling, cell culture, immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry, molecular and genetic analytical techniques and recombinant protein production.

Julien’s clients include national and international corporations in a diverse array of industries including food and beverage, retail goods, sports equipment, tobacco, aerospace, biotechnology, energy and software. Julien offers his clients creative solutions tailored to their needs with a view to leverage IP assets in the market.

During his legal studies, Julien worked in the IP department of a global corporation in the food industry and since 2012 he has volunteered for a charitable non-profit organization which provides free legal information and services to the artist community in Montreal.
