The Toronto Lawyers Association’s Emerging Excellence Award is awarded each year and recognizes a lawyer who has been in practice for 10 years or less and exemplifies leadership and/or innovation in advancing TLA’s three pillars: Knowledge, Community, and Advocacy.

The Toronto Lawyers Association (“TLA”) is the voice of 3,400 members who practice law in all disciplines principally in Toronto. Our mission is to promote and provide knowledge, advocacy and community by offering comprehensive, up-to-date legal resources; assistance and legal research from professional and experienced library staff; CPD accredited education programs; various newsletters; the Annual TLA Awards Gala as well as many other social events.


The TLA is centrally located in “the Rotunda” at 361 University, where our library, networking and social events space in the Courthouse provides many opportunities for our members to connect with lawyers and judges in the Toronto legal community.
