Blaney McMurtry Welcomes New Associate, Callum Paleczny

Callum is developing a broad legal practice with a focus on insurance litigation, insurance coverage, and restructuring and insolvency. His work spans a wide range of areas, including financial regulatory claims, professional negligence, sports and recreational liability, corporate debt restructuring, commercial insolvency, and forbearance arrangements.

During law school, Callum demonstrated both academic and extracurricular excellence. He received the M.A. Murray Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to athletic life at Queen’s University. He served as co-captain of the Queen’s Law Games Team, captain of the Queen’s Law Hockey Team, and was an active member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. His passion for sports and the law also extended to his academic work, where he authored several papers and articles exploring their intersection.
