Corporate Associate – Business Law Group (2-4 years experience)

We are a well-established law firm looking for a Corporate Associate to join our busy Business Law Group in our Toronto office. Our Business Law Group carries on a diverse practice serving small, medium and large clients, government agencies, not-for profit corporations including charities and private clients. A significant number of our clients have been clients for decades. As a Corporate Associate there will be opportunities to assist other groups within the firm with respect to their clients’ commercial needs, including assisting the solicitors in our thriving Condominium Law group.

The successful candidate should have between 2 to 4 years of post-Call to the Bar experience doing corporate commercial work, ideally in a well-regarded medium to large law firm or legal department. Besides having good common sense and a firm grasp of legal concepts, key attributes include being detail oriented, a team player, able to work well under pressure, client and service oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize appropriately and effectively and have outstanding interpersonal skills. Our corporate associates work directly with both junior and senior partners, have regular client contact and have excellent mentoring opportunities.
