If you enjoy independence and commercial real estate transactions, we want to hear from you! Our real estate team, focused on commercial lending transactions, is growing. As a real estate associate/counsel, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the structuring and documentation of property and asset-based lending transactions, as well as acquisitions and sales of commercial properties. This position offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with sophisticated lenders and autonomy to manage your files. We offer top-notch training and mentorship and there is no marketing pressure unless you want to build your own book of business. This opportunity will be based out of Toronto, with remote flexibility. Applicants must be within commuting distance to Toronto as needed.

Chaitons has 28 lawyers and is proudly based in North York.

Experience

• 3+ years post call experience in a law firm or legal department.
• Strong knowledge and experience in commercial real estate transactions, particularly commercial lending.
• Experience or interest in asset-based lending is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to recommend business-orientated solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
