3M Canada is currently seeking a business lawyer to join its team as Legal Counsel at their headquarters in London, Ontario. Reporting to the General Counsel, responsibilities will include the following:

• Working with 3M businesses to understand business needs and goals, detect legal issues and obstacles, and counsel clients regarding legal risks, solutions, and alternatives.
• Negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements and advising on a wide range of commercial activities.
• Identifying opportunities to help 3M businesses grow while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and 3M’s Code of Conduct.

The successful candidate will have 3 to 7 years of broad corporate/commercial experience gained from a leading law firm or corporation. Experience with product liability, contract, competition, employment, and privacy including legal issues related to product distribution, advertising, and promotional allowances is an asset. In addition to being results and client oriented, the ideal candidate will

have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
