Insurance Defence Lawyer 2 – 3 Years

Pallett Valo LLP is looking for a qualified lawyer with insurance litigation experience to join our Insurance Defence Group. A strong work ethic, legal, advocacy and organizational skills, combined with the desire to play a key role in a high functioning team are essential to the role. The ideal candidate will have experience handling property claims, occupiers’ liability, professional negligence, and motor vehicle accident claims, and will be able to work both independently and as a member of a collegial team. Excellent written and oral communication skills in addition to quality client service are a must.

Successful applicants should:

Be a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario
Have expertise in drafting pleadings, conducting discoveries, mediations
Have superior organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple case files simultaneously
Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective client relationships
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with research and negotiation experience
Have analytical skills, with the ability to work independently, and possess solid communication skills
Be adaptable
