Chris practices in civil litigation and dispute resolution, specializing in commercial matters, securities litigation, and public law litigation. He adopts a practical and efficient approach to advising clients, emphasizing client business-needs and strategic objectives. Chris is experienced in navigating and resolving complex disputes. He has frequently appeared on behalf of clients in arbitration proceedings, at all levels of court in Ontario, and before administrative bodies, including the Ontario Energy Board, Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, and the College of Early Childhood Educators. Chris frequently acts for majority and minority shareholders and directors and officers in oppression proceedings, derivative actions, and directors’ and officers’ liability matters involving issues such as entitlement to shares or options; disclosure of financial information, books, and records; allegations of misappropriation of corporate opportunities; and allegations of fraud, defalcation, or misappropriation of funds.
