Torys is pleased to welcome Melanie Rowand to the firm

Melanie Rowand has joined Torys’ Toronto office as an Associate. She is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice. She advises clients on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, industrial design and plant breeders’ rights. Melanie’s experience includes drafting, filing and prosecuting patent, trademark and industrial design applications; advising on the acquisition, validity and infringement of intellectual property rights; and assisting in the management of the plant breeders’ rights enforcement program for a major agricultural company.
