Jennifer L. Poirier Joins Cassels Brock

Jennifer Poirier is an associate in the Securities Group at Cassels Brock. She has experience acting for issuers and dealers in connection with public offerings and private placements, and has also acted for companies involved in take-over bids, plans of arrangements and corporate reorganizations. In addition, Jennifer advises both private and public companies with respect to general corporate and securities law issues, including corporate governance and continuous disclosure obligations.

Jennifer’s experience includes representing:

• A public energy company in connection with a $575 million merger
• A foreign public mining company in a $434 million acquisition of an exploration company
• Underwriters in connection with a $30 million bought deal prospectus offering of a Canadian mining and exploration company

Jennifer also has experience advising fund managers, advisers and exempt market dealers in connection with the formation and offering of public and private investment funds and with respect to registration and compliance matters.

Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Jennifer was an associate in the Securities and Capital Markets Group at another major Canadian law firm.
