Angus McKinnon joins Lerners LLP

Lerners LLP is pleased to announce that Angus McKinnon has joined our Toronto office. As a senior commercial litigator, Angus brings a wealth of experience to the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Class Action and Appeals Practice Groups.

Previously with Heenan Blaikie, Angus’ practice focuses on commercial litigation, class actions and employment law matters. He has represented large corporations in class actions in the mining, consumer and health science products, securities, power generation, manufacturing and educational sectors. He also has significant experience in commercial litigation including employment law litigation, directors’ and officers’ liability, real estate litigation and professional negligence claims.

Over the years, Angus has been involved in several high profile and complex cases including: Bre-X Minerals Ltd., Royal Commission Inquiring into Contaminated Blood in Canada (the Krever Commission), Air Canada Restructuring, and Canada Post and Bell Canada labour disruption mandates. He has also defended the University of Toronto, Aurelian Resources, Samsung Electronics, Hitachi LG and BMW Canada in class action proceedings.

For the third consecutive year, Angus has been recognized by Benchmark Canada as a leading litigation lawyer. Angus completed his LLB at McGill University and is a member of The Advocates’ Society, The Toronto Lawyers Association, Ontario Bar Association and Canadian Bar Association.
