Commercial Counsel – 2-3 years – Contract

Our client is a leading provider of business process outsourcing services for the financial services industry with approximately 4,000 employees servicing over 100 customers through a network of business centres across Canada.

Our client is seeking a commercial lawyer with 2-3 years of post-call experience to join their team for a 12 month contract. Reporting to the Vice-President & Associate General Counsel at the corporate headquarters in Mississauga, the successful candidate will manage and oversee the commercial legal aspects of the company’s outsourcing initiatives with new and existing vendors. In this role, you will advise various lines of business as well as the company’s sourcing professionals and provide timely advice with respect to supplier agreements, including major technology and software acquisitions, real estate, service and consulting, licensing and other vendor arrangements.

The successful candidate will have excellent negotiation and presentation skills gained from a major law firm or corporation and exceptional communication skills. Procurement related experience would be considered an asset.
