TD Bank Group is currently seeking a dynamic lawyer to join its Legal Department in Toronto in the newly created position of Senior Counsel, Direct Channels. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Legal, the successful candidate will be responsible for advising on all legal issues and risks relating to TD’s Mobile and Online channels in North America.

The ideal candidate will have 7 or more years of experience in technology, e-commerce, online and mobile law gained from a major law firm or large corporate legal department. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing strategic and tactical legal advice to all levels of the bank affected by the bank’s Online and Mobile channels
• Developing a deep understanding of legal risks associated with the Mobile and Online channels and providing proactive strategies to deal with such risks
• Working collaboratively with a broad team of experts in the IT, IP, procurement, operational risk, security, banking, compliance, AML, fraud and privacy areas to provide the highest quality of integrated legal services

Experience and familiarity with U.S. legal issues relating to online, e-commerce and mobile services would be an asset.
