Hicks Morley is pleased to announce that James Davis has joined the firm as a labour and employment lawyer in our Toronto office.
James practice involves providing strategic advice and representation to employers in both the private and public sector on a wide-range of labour, employment and human rights issues. This includes wrongful dismissal actions, disability related litigation, labour disputes, grievance arbitrations and human rights and accommodation.
James received his Juris Doctor from Queen’s University and completed his articles with Hicks Morley. While studying at Queen’s, he was a Teacher’s Assistant for various courses at the Queen’s Smith School of Business, such as “Introduction to Human Resources,” “Management of Industrial Relations” and “Gender and Diversity in the Workplace.” He also worked as a student caseworker for the Queen’s Prison Law Clinic, where he had the opportunity to represent inmates before the Parole Board of Canada and various prison disciplinary tribunals.
