Tyler Nechiporenko joins Smart & Biggar

Smart & Biggar is pleased to announce that Tyler Nechiporenko has joined the firm's Montreal office as an associate.

Tyler Nechiporenko’s practice focusses on patent prosecution, particularly within the electrical, computer, software and mechanical fields. His clients include Canadian companies and individuals seeking patent protection in Canada and abroad, as well as associate firms located internationally seeking to obtain patent protection in Canada for their foreign clients.

As part of a 16 month internship program at a leading Canadian communications company, Mr. Nechiporenko gained experience in communication system research and development. This experience has afforded him a level of technical expertise and industry understanding that is of particular value to his clients.

During his undergrad and graduate studies Mr. Nechiporenko was the recipient of several awards, most notability: NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship and iCORE Graduate Student Scholarship.

Mr. Nechiporenko holds two B.Sc. degrees (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, both with Great Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan, a M.Sc. (Electrical and Computer Engineering) from the University of Alberta, and a J.D. from the University of Ottawa.
